This free workshop will offer critical legislative updates for oyster harvesters and dealers, in particular new sack labeling requirements from the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry.
Scheduled topics include:
- Method of sale of oysters (LDAF)
- Oyster harvesting tags & requirements (LDHH)
- Private seed production
- Industry legislative updates
- Avoiding common enforcement issues
- LFF videos and fact sheets
Hands-on demonstrations will include new refrigeration techniques and equipment, including the LFF Seafood Quality Training Lab. Sea Grant will also give an update on clam harvest regulations.
