Gulf Council to Meet in Gulfport, Mississippi on April 3 – 6, 2023

The Gulf of Mexico Fishery Management Council (Council) will meet Monday, April 3 through Thursday, April 6, 2023 at the Courtyard Marriott Gulfport Beachfront hotel in Gulfport, Mississippi.  At this meeting, the Council plans to take final action on an abbreviated framework action that considers modifying the commercial king mackerel gillnet season.  The Council also plans to make preliminary appointments to its Coastal Migratory Pelagics Advisory Panel and select a candidate for an open economist position on its Standing Scientific and Statistical Committee.

The meeting will convene on the following days and times (CDT):

Public testimony 1:30 – 5:00 PM.  In-person attendees can register to provide comment at the kiosks located at the entrance to the meeting room.  Virtual attendees must pre-register at the link provided on the meetings material webpage.  Registration will open on Monday, April 3, 2023 when the meeting convenes and closes at 12:30 PM.
