Southern Shrimp Alliance Town Hall Meeting

Executive Director John Williams and Trade Attorney Nathan Rickard will present for SSA. A Question & Answer period will follow the presentation.

Meeting will begin at 6:00 pm – American Legion, 4990 Highway 56, Chauvin, La
This meeting will address a number of issues that has a direct impact on your ability to continue working in the shrimp industry. SSA will also have updates on issues that they are currently working on that will impact the domestic shrimp industry in 2018. Everyone associated with the shrimp industry should attend this very important meeting.
Southern Shrimp Alliance Town Hall meetings are about the industry and the individuals that make up our great shrimp industry. You are encouraged to attend and participate in these meetings as your opinions and concerns are what helps determine SSA’s annual agenda for protecting your livelihood.
There will be a question and answer session after the meeting and we also encourage everyone to ask questions.
Some items presented will include Fishery Management, Illegal Antibiotics in imported shrimp and the dangers associated with them, Seafood Import Monitoring Program (SIMP) etc.
