Gulf Council Convenes its Data Collection Advisory Panel

The Gulf of Mexico Fishery Management Council will convene a meeting of its Data Collection Advisory Panel from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM, EDT on February 13, 2023. The meeting will be held at our Gulf Council offices located at 4107 W. Spruce Street, Suite 200, Tampa, FL 33607. The meeting will also be broadcast via webinar.

During the meeting, the Advisory Panel will review and discuss proposed electronic reporting in the Commercial Coastal Logbook Program and receive an update on the Southeast For-Hire Integrated Electronic Reporting program. The Advisory Panel will also review state specific private angler licensing and reporting requirements and hear a report from Mote Marine Lab on Electronic Monitoring Research. Finally, the Advisory Panel will receive an update on the development and next steps for the Fishery Ecosystem Plan.

Public comment will be held over the webinar before the meeting adjourns.
