Gulf Council Meeting in Baton Rouge

The Gulf of Mexico Fishery Management Council (Council) will meet Monday, January 30 through Thursday, February 2, 2023 at The Hilton Baton Rouge Capitol Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  At this meeting, the Council plans to take final action on two issues: A Framework Action to increase the gray triggerfish trip limit and an Abbreviated Framework Action to modify the trip declaration requirements for vessels with federal for-hire permits.

The meeting will convene on the following days and times (CST):

Sustainable Fisheries Committee
Reef Fish Committee

Tuesday, January 31, 2023, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Reef Fish Committee (a working lunch will be held from 12-12:30 PM)
*Immediately following Reef Fish Committee, NOAA Fisheries will hold an informal workshop and Question and Answer session for participants in the Individual Fishing Quota (IFQ) program

Wednesday, February 1, 2023, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Outreach and Education Committee
