Gulf Council to Meet in New Orleans

The Gulf of Mexico Fishery Management Council will meet August 10 – 13, 2015, at the Hilton Riverside in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Committee meetings will convene Monday at 8:30 am, concluding at 5:00 pm Tuesday. The full Council will convene Wednesday morning beginning at 8:30 am. The Council is expected to adjourn by 3:00 pm Thursday. The Committees & Council Agenda  is posted on the Council web site and meeting materials will be posted soon.

Public comment is scheduled Wednesday from 1:00 pm to 5:30 pm. Testimony will be taken on:

  • Final Action – Reef Fish Amendment 28 – Red Snapper Allocation
  • Final Action on Red Snapper Commercial Quota Retention for 2016
  • Open Public Comment
