Q&A with LDWF on Nearshore Artificial Reef Planning Areas

02:00 pm - 04:00 pm @ ,

The Louisiana Department of Wildlife & Fisheries’ (LDWF) Artificial Reef Program is proposing to create new ‘planning areas’ in which to develop nearshore artificial reef sites in the future. Our goal is to inform shrimpers of location, materials, water depth/clearance, coordinates and more; and to get input and comments.

LDWF and La Sea Grant agents will be visiting docks in Delcambre the afternoon of July 6, and shrimpers are welcome to meet at the Bayou Carlin Cove Pavilion from 2 – 4 pm to voice concerns or ask questions.

For more information about this project, and to give your input via a contact form, visit the LFF Artificial Reef web page.
