The 2023 Summit, now a bi-annual event celebrating its sixth showing, is sponsored by Louisiana Sea Grant, Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, LSU AgCenter and many industry partners as part of the Louisiana Fisheries Forward (LFF) educational initiative.  LFF was established with the goal of improving the economic success of Louisiana’s commercial fishing industry and is a voluntary educational program for members of the commercial seafood community. Hundreds attend this and other LFF outreach and training events each year.
